Aled first impressed the Dragons staff and supporters in 06/07 when he was on a season long loan from the Ospreys. After seeing his ability during this period it was no great surprise when he returned late in the 08/09 season with a full, one year contract. This year he’s brought back the same form from his first spell in being a live-wire in the Dragons back-line.
Even at a young age Aled has been rewarded for his hard work by earning honours with Wales, the Wales 7s team and 3 full international caps. Along the way he’s played at Welsh Premiership clubs Neath before being picked up by regional side the Ospreys. After having a season with rival club the Blues he signed for the Dragons in March 2009, where he settled in straight away. Brew has also recently signed a 2 year deal that will keep him at Rodney Parade until 2012.
Brew has been a vital part of this year’s squad and been proving, not only to the Dragons selectors but to the international selectors that he has the drive and the ability to perform at high level. With his future at Rodney Parade secured, hopefully his fantastic form will help the Dragons to success.
