DRAGONS LV= FIXTURES ANNOUNCED

The Dragons will have the chance to avenge last season’s LV= Cup defeat against their English neighbours as they visit the Rec in the opening round of this season’s LV= Cup competition.

The region will then play host to Northampton Saints in round 2 to round off the 2012 fixtures .

The second phase of the pool matches will have a Welsh feel as regional rivals Ospreys come to Newport, will followed by a round 4 visit for the Men of Gwent to newly promoted London Welsh.

Dates and times of kick off will be announced as soon as they are confirmed by the tournament organisers.

Round 1 – 9/10/11 November
Bath Rugby v Newport Gwent Dragons

Round 2 – 16/17/18 November
Newport Gwent Dragons v Northampton Saints

Round 3 – 25/26/27 January
Newport Gwent Dragons v Ospreys

Round 4 – 1/2/3 February
London Welsh v Newport Gwent Dragons

Semi Finals – 8/9/10 March

LV= Cup Final - 17 March
• The LV= Cup is a 16-team competition involving the 12 Aviva Premiership Rugby clubs and 4 Welsh regions
• Played in four pools of four with three English clubs and one Welsh region in each pool
• English clubs have been allocated to the pools depending on their finish in last season's Premiership
• Welsh regions have been allocated to the pools to avoid repeating fixtures from the Heineken and Amlin Challenge cups where possible
• Teams in Pool 1 play teams in Pool 4 and teams in Pool 2 play teams in Pool 3
• Each team plays four pool matches - two home and two away - with the top team from each pool qualifying for the semi finals.
